ODA Financing to the Health Sector (2022–2027)

This report provides an overview of ODA flows to the health sector between 2022 and 2025, drawing on data from the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI). It analyses donor commitments and disbursements across key subsectors, regions, and funding channels, and identifies both enduring priorities and emerging gaps. While the data shows continuity in donor support for communicable diseases and maternal and child health, it also points to shifting patterns in health system strengthening, nutrition, and non-communicable diseases.
In addition to this historical perspective, the report also reviews forward-looking commitments for 2026–2027. This data, while subject to change, provides early indications of donor priorities and the expected funding trajectories in the coming years.
The findings aim to contribute to a clearer understanding of how health ODA is being allocated, where funding gaps are widening, and what the future outlook may hold for global health financing.
